A selection of  the variety of weapons used in HKMKD

More exotic weapons and modern day weapons fall under the scrutiny of PAHKMKD as they surface.

[Peace and harmony by way of Royal Weapons Training]

Having studied Military [Martial] practices, it becomes blatantly obvious that during times of warfare no warrior goes into battle unarmed. With that fact in mind, the conclusion drawn is that all martial practices were initially with a weapon of some description. Only when that weapon is used up, lost, broken, is the warrior dependant on empty hand techniques.

Analysing the weapons training forms of the Orient, Asia, Europe, and the Americas warrior systems, it appears that the empty hand forms have a distinct similarity to the variety of weapons training systems.

We at PAHKMKD put this theory to the test by practicing Hyung [forms] taken from our PATSD syllabus and inserting weapons into the forms. Not to our  suprise we found  all of our collection of forms [some 30+] lent themselves nicely to one or more traditional weapons without altering the forms in any way. Knowing in times of peace or subdjigation man has improvised weapons in order to defend or take life, the weapons are not exhaustive.

It is in understanding the nature of weapons use that we train in PAHKMKD, in order to make qualified decisions as to when to engage defence against an armed assailant, and, in what way is safest to do so or not!!

Unless you understand the nature of what you are up against you will not understand the dangers you face, and, invariably could make an inappropriate decision. The Hyungs when a weapon is introduced offer a window of insight into the lethal and destructive nature of Martial Arts.

Obviously the lawful requirements of peacetime are that weapons are to be used only by officially charged persons to do so. It is purely from an esthetic and informative study we at PAHKMKD practice weapons training under the strictest guidelines laid out by PAMSD and NAKMAS.
